An annual appointment that everyone looks forward to!

Each year we organise a day of grape picking in one of our vineyards. The idea is to spend a special day with the members of one of the 17 cellars, while taking part in the year’s harvest.

For this 2019 edition, we met up in the vineyards of Bergerac. Dominique Samin and his team gave us a warm welcome over a coffee, before taking us into the vines. Equipped with our secateurs, baskets and plenty of motivation, we set to work!

Harvesting the 2019 vintage, but not only that…

We were entrusted with picking a Sémillon plot. The grapes will be used to produce the 2019 vintage Côtes-de-Bergerac Moelleux. As well as picking, we also took the opportunity to taste the grapes, which already suggest a promising vintage.

The team from the cellar had a nice surprise in store for us. To finish the day on a “sporting” note, we set off to discover the vineyard from another angle… on electric cross-country scooters! In addition to arousing curiosity, this means of transport also lets you see the vineyard in a new light. Passing from one plot to another, along the rows of vines and copses, the tour let us admire the beautiful landscape of the vineyard and its environment.

Where will we be picking next year?

Each harvest session leaves our team with a unique memory. In direct contact with the vineyard, the cellar and the teams, we gain a lot on each occasion. But which vineyard will we be visiting for the 2020 edition?
