ACTING TO PRESERVE OUR ENVIRONMENT<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For 70 years now, our structure has been showing concern for the environment around it. Our teams make sure to anticipate and adapt our methods of work and production in order to preserve the heritage that is so dear to us.<\/p>\n

SOME EXAMPLES OF ACTIONS
\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • . Beekeeping\/Hives<\/strong> – Several of our cellars are equipped with hives that help to maintain bees in the natural environment. About 140 beehives or 300 to 400 kg of honey.<\/li>\n
  • . Insect hotel<\/strong> – Several of our cellars promote our ecosystem in this way.<\/li>\n
  • . Batviti<\/strong> – To fight against the proliferation of certain moths, a major vector for some vine diseases, one of our cellars has developed \u201cbatviti\u201d. 60 bat boxes have been distributed around the region to promote the installation of bats and reduce the proliferation of vine moth larvae. In addition to being a natural technique, the cellar offers schools the chance to build bat boxes, thus involving local children in preserving nature from an early age.<\/li>\n
  • . Mustard plants, riversid afforestation and landscape integration –<\/strong> Actions have been put in place to develop the natural ecosystem.<\/li>\n
  • . Biodiversity circuit<\/strong> – One of our Bordeaux cellars offers a 5500m\u00b2 circuit covering 13 ecosystems, 32 biodiversity elements, 92 species of flora and fauna, 7 of which are the subject of national preservation orders. This circuit is conducive to the development of fauna and flora.<\/li>\n
  • . Energy consumption and limiting the production of waste –<\/strong> The cellars limit their water and energy consumption as well as their production of waste, to reduce their carbon footprint.
    \n<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • . Training in energy-efficient driving : <\/strong>Training is also offered to consumers on actions to reduce their carbon
    \n<\/strong>footprint, because energy-efficient driving means acting today for tomorrow!<\/li>\n
  • . Sustainable development of the vineyard <\/strong>– Some cellars practise narrow-row viticulture, hand picking, use of organic fertilisers or even simultaneous mowing and trimming to reduce the environmental impact.<\/li>\n
  • . Sexual confusion –<\/strong> This biocontrol system, disrupting the reproduction of certain moths, limits the reproduction of these species in areas where the method is applied. This limits the vine moth larvae resulting from females laying eggs, and the vineyard plot is protected.<\/li>\n
  • . Investment in the ecology<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • . Organic and biodynamic farming <\/strong>– This type of training makes it possible to anticipate climatic
    \nvariations to adapt vineyard management.<\/li>\n
  • . VEGAN <\/strong>– Some of our facilities meet vegan technical specifications.<\/li>\n
  • . High Environmental Value certification (HVE 3) – <\/strong>Development of our vineyards around 4 High Environmental Value themes: biodiversity, crop-protection strategy, management of fertilisation and water resources.<\/li>\n
  • Eco-designed packaging<\/strong> – When developing our products, we think in an ecological way
