Producta Vignobles, on the land of its Château Grandchemin Monplaisir – Saint-Estèphe
On 30 September the team from Producta Vignobles harvested one of the parcels of Château Grandchemin Monplaisir, which the company has owned since 2010. A fun day for the team which also proved its pride in being affiliated to the Saint-Estèphe vineyard. Orchestrated by the Cave du Marquis de Saint-Estèphe, the harvest was accompanied by the traditional harvest lunch and a guided visit of the cellars.
Château Grandchemin Monplaisir is an attractive Saint-Estèphe with ripe fruit notes, agreeably oaked. Born from the names of two hamlets, Monplaisir and Grand Chemin, Château Grandchemin Monplaisir covers several parcels of clay, gravel and limestone, which give the wine all its subtlety on the palate. The vineyard of 7 ha, including 2 ha of 40-year-old vines, is vinified at the Cave du Marquis de Saint-Estèphe, a historic vinification site for this terroir since it has just celebrated its 80th year.
NEW! Château Grandchemin Monplaisir 2012 has won a silver medal in the first Meilleurs Vins Français competition in Germany.
